Pets of the week: Cam and Cali are looking for forever homes – MLive.com

JACKSON, MI – The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.
Here are two of them.
Cam is a handsome white American Staffordshire terrier mix. He’s approximately 3 years old and came in as a stray. Cam is very friendly and loves to play.
Cali is a lovely white, buff and gray female cat. She’s a young cat – approximately 1½ years old – but has a very calm demeanor. She came to the shelter in May as a stray with kittens. She was sickly but now is better and ready to be adopted.
All dogs and cats at the shelter are neutered/spayed and current on vaccines. A walk-through in the cat room is available to test a dog’s reaction to cats.
Dog adoptions are $150. Cat adoptions are $60 for one cat or $80 for two.
Those interested in adopting these pets must come to the shelter to meet them anytime from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Office closes daily for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m.
No phone calls please. All dog adoptions require an application.
More information is available on the shelter’s Facebook page. See more pets available for adoption at jcasmichigan.petfinder.com.
